Create Margins for Your Health

As a busy professional, you may take your health for granted. People often do that because they think, 'I'm fine. Nothing will happen to me.' You need to recognize that your health is that aspect of your life that allows you to create and maintain margins, in other areas.

The concept of margins is one that Richard Swenson discusses in many of his books and is defined as "the space that once existed between ourselves and our limits. It's something held in reserve for contingencies or unanticipated situations."

Think about creating health margins by completing one (or all) of the following:

  1. Get a complete physical.

How will you where you stand health-wise if you don't take this step. Call to make the appointment today. If you don't know have a good doctor, then ask one of your friends or colleagues for a recommendation, but don't delay on making your appointment. Consider what you are risking by waiting.

  2. Once a year, make all the important check-up appointments that your doctor has recommended.

You know what yearly check-ups I mean, don't you? There are some that both men and women need--and then there are the special ones for each gender. No one looks forward to these exams, but they might save your life.

  3. Don't forget your dentist.

When you are scheduling your various checkups, include your dentist as one of your must-do medical appointments. It's amazing what health margins can be eliminated if your dental health is in decline. Haven't you ever looked at those pictures at your dentist's office? YIKES! You don't want to have your teeth and gums deteriorate--along with the rest of your health, so go ahead and see your dentist and hygienist.

  4. Toss old (or unknown) medicines and vitamins.

Take a good look through your medicine cabinet. What items are past their expiration dates? Throw out everything that has expired. What do you have in your cabinet that you don't recognize? That means you probably don't have that ailment anymore and should pitch the medicine, herbs, or supplements. Why keep something you don't need.

  5. Make a list of everything you DO take (including supplements).

Go ahead and put this list on your computer so you can print a copy to take to each of your health providers. It makes sense to carry it with you in your planner or PDA. I will always access my list when I donate blood, for example, and it helps speed the process along.

  6. Obtain (and wear) a medical alert bracelet, if needed.

If you're allergic to anything, be sure you wear a medical alert bracelet whenever you go out to exercise, work, or play. No one plans to need this...but you (and those helping you) might.

  7. Monitor any symptoms that you have.

Do you notice patterns? Just keep a log in your planner. Certainly many people with headaches have been able to notice the patterns that lead to their headaches--and then alter the pattern.

  8. Take a multi-vitamin.

It can't hurt. My brother always says that those of us who take multi-vitamins are the people who are probably also eating well enough to get everything we need. I take one anyway.

  9. Get enough sleep.

Drowsy driving is hazardous to your health.

  10. Look into alternative medicine.

Therapeutic massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, and others are considered mainstream, albeit alternative, medicine and may even be covered by your insurance. Even if they aren't, consider them anyway.

The main idea with this list is to recognize that when your health isn't there, ALL of the other areas of your life are affected

Consequently, the need to create margins for your health is paramount.

World Of Warcraft Mount Guide

Each race in World of Warcraft have their own mount which is a pet found in the Azeroth landscape which they can tame and ride around with. For example on the Alliance faction, the Humans have access to horses, while on the Horde side Trolls have raptors. Each of the other races also have their own particular pet to ride. To able to ride you need the skill of riding which can only obtained once a wow character has reached level 40.

Among wow players mounts are regarded as status symbols for players who have reached the half way point of the game at lvl 40. In fact for me it is always the goal of attaining my mount (especially my very first one) that gives me the motivation to grind away at the games quests and slaying of monsters while half way through the game.

But really, the best advantage mounts give you is to enable you to travel over land so much faster than by merely walking or running around. On top of that evading monsters is that much easier making game play less stressful when you are trying to get to a far flung destination. It is still possible for some monsters to knock you off your "steed" and force you to fight from time to time, but 90% of the time you will out run them. Also in certain enclosed places like inns, instance runs, quest buildings, neutral towns etc, it is not possible for you to get about on your mount.

Another advantage is that if attacked it will be your character taking the damage and not the mount, so if you die there is no need to re-summon it, as a hunter or warlock would with their pet or minion, or even having to buy another. The other great thing about owning a mount is that each different race can pick from a variety of mounts. At levels 60 and 70 there are even more better faster ones you can pick provided you have learned the necessary skill to ride which is easy enough if you have the gold to pay the riding trainer. Also depending on how exalted your reputation is with another race in your faction you might be eligible to ride their steed, ram, raptor, horse etc etc. It goes without saying that Alliance and Horde races cannot their rival faction mounts.

There are quests where you can obtain rare mounts like the "Black Qiraji Battle Tank" in the "Silithus quest" (obtained at around level 60) that will further enhance your character reputation in the game and in the eyes of other players as well as netting you an unusual looking mode of transport. Instances also provide rare pets you can ride like the "Fiery Warhorse" in Kharazan which alas only drops at the rate of 1 in a 1000 kills.

There are many, many other examples of world of warcraft mounts, from turtle to fun ones introduced at special times of year like the rein deer is at Christmas or the flying broomstick at Halloween. This is what makes world of warcraft the great and unusual game that it is. The depth even when it comes to characters transport is varied and detailed and very entertaining.

How to Enjoy Blogging While Building Your AdSense Income

The best thing about blogging is that there are no rules. You can write about anything you want. A self-publisher's dream! There are some things you can do though to maximize your Google AdSense profits. Narrow your subject. It is better to steer clear of vague keywords when writing your blogs. Write about shopping for plus size clothing, or designer handbags instead of just shopping. Make every effort to write every day as well. You should create blogs at more than one site too, because if you develop a readership, you are more likely to increase your AdSense income and your profits.

Write about something you know or want to know or something you have more than just a passing interest in. If you try to write a great blog based on a great keyword, but it is something you do not really care about, you will most likely not stay with it long. Experiment and see what works for you. You can write based on your own opinion or something factual. You can review a product or service or a movie.

Read other people's blogs and make a note of how many people are reading them, or at the very least, how much feedback they are getting. Above all, have fun. After all, most blogs are free and if you are persistent you will see your Google AdSense income growing.

People still like to read other people's blog online. You would think that in today's world of 200 channel satellite TV, movies, and games, that people would not have time to read long blogs, but that is not true. It all depends on the level of interest that the person has in the subject. Well-written blogs can captivate your audience and turn them into raving fans. Remember that once your blog begins to get back links it will continue to grow and at the same time, grow your AdSense income right along with it.

One critical element of a good blog is feedback. People love to read a good blog and then give their opinions on the matter. That will be useful to bear in mind. These days, you will have to moderate comments to keep out spammers and perverts but if you do so, your readers will come back time and again to see what others have to say about the subject they really love.

WOW Level Guide - Read These WOW Leveling Tips and Soar to 70!

If you are looking for a guide on the web that will tell you how to level faster in World of Warcraft then you are in for a rough ride, not because there is no information online but because it is so hard to piece together. There are loads of quests in WOW and to look up all of them will take you a long time.

This article will try and make that journey a little easier and give you a few tips that you can use as a mini WOW Level Guide:

1. Make sure that you have picked the right character for the job. If you just want to level fast then you want to go for players that have a high damage per second rating. The best ones for this is the paladin or the hunter and I would say that the hunter is the best one as then you can get a pet and essentially it is like 2 of you going through the levels.

2. Also another good tip is to try and form a group wherever you are questing as this is the best way to quest and you will see loads of people about on the game that will help you out. In a group it is far easier to beat the quests and although you may get less XP per kill it ads up as when you hand in quests your XP will go up faster.

3. Lastly I have seen alot of WOW Level guides on the web that claim the best way to level faster is to grind. this is not true the best way to level fast and get XP is to do all the quests that you can and then grind in between them on the way to your destination.

I hope this article has given you some tips that will help you level fast and get to 70 before the Wrath of the Lich King is released and just remember to play alot and you will get there!

Good Luck!
